History of the school

With the establishment of Bihar Caustic and Chemicals Limited at Rehla, it was felt necessary to establish an English-medium School to cater to the primary educational needs of employee’s children. Accordingly Shiksha Niketan was founded in 1987 by Ladies Club (Mahila Mandal), a women social and cultural organisation of Bihar Caustic and Chemicals Limited. The school was rechristened as The Aditya Birla Public School in April 2002.

Aditya Birla Public School, Rehla, affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi was re-christened in April 2002. The School was formerly known as “SHIKHA NIKETAN” and was founded in 1997. ABPS Rehla is the name of recon with a land mark in every sense of word and an epitome of good education and discipline. The school believes in maximizing the capacity of each student and equips them to walk through the doors of opportunity. It is situated at the Bank of Koel River in a lush green environment at Rehla, District- Palamau (Jharkhand) under the flagship of GRASIM INDUSTRIES LTD., a venture of ADITYA BIRLA GROUP.

The school is synonymous with quality education up to Senior Secondary level in Science and Commerce streams and is a pioneer in fostering all round development with all round growth in students.

In the current session the School has 1314 students looked after by a team of 36 dedicated teachers.

Milestone the school has achieved

    • ABPS Rehla won the Junior Champion’s Trophy in the Zonal/Cluster Sports Meet of the ABG Group in 2008

    • Alka Pathak won the Chairman’s Scholarship for getting more than 95% in the Board Examination in Class 12 in the year 2018

    • Master Animesh Pandey is selected for playing the Nationals in Table Tennis

    • Master Sarib Khan won the Third position in the District Martial Art Meet in 2019

    • Our school won the Inter School Quiz Competition organized by the ABG Group in 2019 and get the 5th position in the same in 2021

    • Many students of our school have crowned glory by qualifying various entrance exams like NEET, B.Tech Agriculture, JEE etc.
