HISTORY OF SCHOOL
The Aditya Birla Public School Awarpur, formerly known as Stella Maris Convent High School & Junior College, was established in the year 1982 under the charismatic leadership of its founder principal Rev. Sr. Prima DM to impart holistic education to the children of the employees of Awarpur Cement Works, its associates and residents of the nearby villages. With the change of Management came the re-christening of the school in 2008 to its present name and fame. Today the school is an ISO 9001-2015 certified English Medium Senior Secondary School Affiliated to CBSE, Pune Region and run by Nalanda Education Society under the aegis of UltraTech Cement Ltd., Awarpur. Governed by the education policy of the Aditya Birla Group of Schools, this premier educational institution has been rendering yeoman service in the field of education since 1982. Ever since its inception, the school has grown immensely in stature and strength, and today it has 782 students and 32 staff on its rolls, catering to the needs of the students from Pre Primary to Senior Secondary.
Located in the lush green and serene surroundings of the township of Ultra Tech Cement Ltd, Awarpur, Maharashtra, ‘The Aditya Birla Public School’ has carved a name for itself and has now come to be a much sought after school in the region. It is located at a distance of 40 km from Balharshah Railway Station and 220 km from Nagpur AirPort.

- The painting by Mast. Shantanu Verma of class X was selected as one of best 50 state entries in the competition organized by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association(PCRA) under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India
- Mast. Udhbhav K. of Class IV performed extraordinarily in International English Olympiad by achieving 25th Zonal Rank and 34th International Rank
- Ms. Razia Salim Sheikh of Class X qualified for the Second Round of Vikram Sarabhai Science Foundation, Kochi under the aegis (Government of India) where 20,000 students participated in First Round and only 1000 Students qualified for Second round.
